Lisa Revette

Having been educated in the mixing of scientific and visual ideas since discovering medical illustration in 2012, Lisa has substantial experience in creating visual solutions for a variety of topics. Receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a concentration in Scientific and Preparatory Medical Illustration, she has found herself drawn to a side of her talents that she hadn’t considered growing up as an aspiring artist. The ability to educate diverse audiences was exciting, and propelled her to continue her academic education. Within the Biomedical Visualization graduate program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she discovered her aptitude for the combination of logical and empathetic problem solving needed to design educational interactive applications.

Lisa’s current focus is on her graduate research, where she is developing an interactive application to evaluate methods that may be used to further study on improving task initiation in users with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Alongside her research, she has jumped headlong into various interactive projects in order to absorb as much technical and design knowledge as possible before having to leave the wonderful resources of graduate school behind. She is looking forward to working alongside talented people and developing technology that can bring knowledge to the public at large in innovated and effective ways.
